The BKK are please to announce our First formal session of 2024 the Kagami Biraki on the 13th January at Milton Keynes. The day will continue with the Kata course held by Shihan Lyndsay and Sensei Anil along with a Kata Referee Course and optional exam with Shihan Janine Davies

We encourage all dojo operators to attend the day and bring with them their students of all ages and grades.

England Kata squad training: open to all grades and abilities, those who wish to compete or just want to work kata.

There will be opportunities to compete internationally over the next year and we will be working towards the IFK World Kata Tournament October 2024.

Melton Mowbray BKK would like to invite other BKK clubs to take part in a beach training session to raise money for our junior/cadet/senior fighters to attend tournaments abroad. We will be holding the session on 11th September 2022 from 11 am to 2 pm at Heacham South Beach, Heacham, Kings Lynn.

Knockdown Referee and Judge Course open to all qualified BKK and IFK Referee/ Judge wishing to officiate at the British Open (Cup of Europe) at K2, Crawley, 1st October 2022.

The course incorporates Adult, Veteran, Cadet and Junior Kyokushin rules.

This course will be held via Zoom.

There will be two further (in-person) courses: Sunday 18th Sept (TBC) and Friday 31st Sept (TBC).

The BKK’s AGM will be held on 15th January at 11.00 – the Minutes of the last AGM, the Agenda and Accounts for the previous two years will be uploaded to the BKK web site.

Nominations for Officers and EC members etc. should be forwarded to the BKK Chairman in accordance with the BKK Constitution (i.e. 21 days prior to the AGM).

The next BKK Members online course will be held by Shihans Andrew Turner and Sunil Tailor.

The course will cover a variety of areas including syllabus and renraku.

The BKK will hold a Knockdown Referee and Judge Course for all qualified or non-qualified Referee/Judge wishing to be considered to officiate at the BKK’s two main knockdown events:

• English Open Derby, 25th April 2020

• British Open (Cup of Europe) at K2, Crawley, 3rd October 2020

In addition to attending this course, all qualified or non-qualified Referee/Judge must have pass an exam in the past two years to be eligible to officiate at the English & British.

The new exam, developed to incorporate Adult, Veterans, Cadets and Junior Kyokushin rules in one exam, will be available to attend at this course.
